A Quiet Place!
There are few places these days where one can find a quiet, relaxing place to be one with Nature.
Right near my house, there is a hidden pathway that runs along the Bronx River Parkway in Hartsdale, NY. One can actually walk from Hartsdale all the way to White Plains, passing under (what I call) the Graffiti Bridge – a small stone underpass, where many have signed their names, or left behind one of their personal works of “street art”!
Hidden in the woods, this quiet place takes one on a walk through every type of tree, occasionally a park bench to relax (for those that need that moment to rest),while enjoying the beautiful colors of Autumn.
I have walked along this path many times over the years with my children (now all grow), but recently for the first time I came across this Waterfall. I don’t know how I ever missed it during my many visits along the way.
I took the first picture while trying to get a close up view of the Waterfall. Having to climb down a small embankment (yes, sliding half way down) to get a better shot.
The second picture is an overview of the Waterfall, which after our recent many hurricane, found many leaves floating in the waters at the top of the Falls.
It truly is a place to enjoy Nature, Autumn, while taking advantage of life’s peaceful reflections!
