The past few days the Northeast, including NY where I live, has experienced a heat wave of 90+ degrees, plus severe storms at night.
This morning at 5am woke up to a loud crack and crash outside my bedroom window. The first 2 pics were taken at 5am – the others at 7am.
I loved this Tree as its long branches reached my terrace – providing a bit of comfort from the heat of the setting sun..
Can’t imagine what is in store for the rest of the Summer, if this is just early June!

More heavy rains thunder lightening again this evening! They town spent most of the removing not only the fallen tree, but many more also. Three cars were crushed. It really woke up the neighborhood!
